Soon after all the new 8 MLAs took oath at the maiden session of the newly-formed government in Telangana State Assembly, BJP leader T Raja spoke to ANI and said that they had taken a resolve that until Congress makes people like Akbaruddin Owaisi sit in the chair of Speaker, they will not take the oath.
As a result, Akbaruddin Owaisi stepped down as the Speaker and Gaddam Prasad Kumar sat on that chair in whose presence all the MLAs took the oath.
“Today, all 8 MLAs took the oath and we had resolved that until Congress makes people like Akbaruddin Owaisi sit in the chair of Speaker, they will not take the oath. Today, Akbaruddin Owaisi stepped down as the Speaker, and Gaddam Prasad Kumar sat on that chair. In his presence, all 8 MLAs took oath,” said T Raja.
